Crises will come & go, Federal Excesses Are Eternal

Associations and the Importance of Divided Government

It is scary to contemplate the impending political dominance of the very most left wing elements of the Democratic party in the presidential election.

Follow up:

This takes us to the core issue in this election: the choice of radical left-wing dominance versus divided government that protects against the excesses of one ideology over another. Crises will come and go, but Federal excess is eternal.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Harry Reid are even farther to the left than Newt Gingrich was to the right. Moreover, despite his deceptively soothing rhetoric, every indication from the record is that Barack Obama is nothing like any moderate Democrat much less any Republican. His history bolsters the case that Obama is a radical leftist at best or the most profoundly cynical politician in modern memory.

An opinion piece by Charles Krauthammer is the best I have read in making the logical case of the importance of these associations. While I want you to read that, read my case first...

Barack Obama voted nearly 100% of the time with his party's left wing leadership that have viewed the War in Iraq more as a political opportunity than a national challenge.

His first career was inspired by the Chicago based Saul Alinsky, the well known Marxist socialist and the father of community organizers, who considered mainstream liberalism too soft and passive. He penned the book "Rules for Radicals" and this book has been quoted many times by both Barack and Michelle Obama as recently as Michelle's DNC convention speech.

Alinsky's philosophy is critical in understanding the Obama Campaign because not only is Obama clearly a disciple but Alinsky's goal was to come to power by hiding true intentions by cloaking statements in the soothing language of "change" in times of tumult. Why would they need to deceive? Simple, even Alinsky knew that most people would never buy into an extreme agenda if it was presented straight out to the American people. This is all well chronicled and can be quickly verified with a little "Googling" from various sources across the political spectrum.

His closest allies from the pulpit, Rev. Wright and Fr. Phlegar, are still promulgating the profoundly socialist agenda of Liberation Theology, a philosophy denounced as extreme by many theologians including Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI. What are Barack Obama's views on Liberation Theology?

Why won't Obama answer when he learned of current radical William Ayers "domestic terrorist" past? He launched his state senate campaign in Ayer's living room and served closely with him on the Annenberg Project. They want you to believe Obama has all the answers and knows everything about the foreign policy and the economy and he's the most astute and articulate policy wonk on the American scene today. But despite being this font of knowledge, he never heard until recently that William Ayers used to be on the lam for being a "domestic terrorist" with the Weather Underground. The only thing worse than a radical is one that pretends that he is not.

The question you must ask yourself is: Should your current frustration motivate you to abandon a substantial basis for America's very existence? These principles include freedom, property rights and a vibrant private sector that dwarfs any broad public sector attempt to overtake it.

The Democrats will soon increase their majorities in the House and Senate and we must have a rational counter balance. If we fail, the extreme authoritarian agenda that will spew forth from congress aided and abetted by Barack Obama could never be undone in our lifetimes short of a constitutional convention.

Who will be the gate keeper for the excesses of the next, heavily left wing Democrat congress? Who will represent you when they go too far? Barack Obama? They don't want to raise taxes, yet they will. They do want to explode federal spending, yet they will. They can't help it.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid together would be the political and fiscal equivalent of three co-dependents at a crack house hidden at a distillery in a Cheech and Chong movie.
